Andy Whitfield (b. 17-7-1972 d 11-9-2011) was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma March 2010 and after a long battle he succumbed to the cancer Sunday 11 September 2011.

Andy was born in North Wales, UK and moved to Australia in 1999. He appeared on a number of Australian TV series and a starring role in the movie Gabriel before he was cast as Spartacus in Spartacus: Blood and Sand TV Series.
